Black Tea
87 products
Black tea is a fully oxidized tea. It is generally more flavorful than other teas, and it also stays palatable for much longer. Black tea is known in China as red tea due to the color of the finished drink.
Black tea is mainly produced in India, China, Africa and Sri Lanka. It was originally developed in China, but most black tea today comes from the Assam and Sri Lankan regions. Black tea is usually made from the top five leaves of the tea plant.
Black tea has more caffeine relative to other nutrients than other types of tea, making it best suited for morning and afternoon refreshment.
Strong flavors go well with black tea. For example, licorice, lychee, and chocolate are popular flavors, while Indian Chai is one of the traditional black tea blends that many people enjoy daily.
Brew black tea in 90-100 degree water to your taste, or try it cold brewed, or iced tea. Put the tea in cold tap water and steep at room temperature for about half an hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
